Drank too much coffee on the plane and can't fall asleep ~Revisiting Bangkok~【38】
Day 1 in Bangkok【2018/4/28】
I went on a 6-night, 7-day trip to Bangkok during Golden Week.
Round trip: China Eastern Airlines (54,490 yen)
Accommodation: Sacha's Hotel Uno (32,601 yen) *About 5,400 yen per night
Cash: 50,000 yen
I headed to Bangkok from Centrair via Shanghai.
China Eastern Airlines is inexpensive but a full-service carrier, so meals are provided on board.
Meal on Centrair → Shanghai flight
Meal on Shanghai → Bangkok flight
Many people around me left their meals unfinished, but I enjoyed mine thoroughly. Naturally, the meal from Japan was Japanese cuisine, and the meal from Shanghai was Shanghainese cuisine?
I arrived at Suvarnabhumi International Airport just after 18:00. I bought a ticket with the Baht I had left from my previous visit, and took the Airport Express to Asok station.
After checking in at Sacha's Hotel Uno, I immediately headed out to the city. There was a shopping mall called Terminal21 about a 3-minute walk from the hotel, so I explored it.
I had soft serve ice cream at the famous Thai tea shop ChaTraMue. It's a popular shop where about 10 people are always lined up. The soft serve was not too sweet and had a subtle Thai tea aroma which was exquisite.
Since I had finished both in-flight meals, I wasn't hungry, so I bought some light snacks at a convenience store and returned to the hotel.
Pineapple-flavored Yakult, Koala's March (Chocolate and Banana), Almonds
If you buy two Koala's March, you get one free. I saw this 2buy1get deal quite often in Bangkok's convenience stores. It applies to drinks and other snacks as well. It's not a great system for travelers who want to enjoy a variety of types in a short period.
I went to bed early that day. I had too much coffee on the plane, so it took me a while to fall asleep...
