Starting a Three-Day Weekend at Yaizu Grand Hotel 2022/3/18【80】
Day 1 in Yaizu
I took a day off before the three-day weekend in March and went on a 2-night, 3-day trip to Yaizu.
I took the Shinkansen from Tokyo Station and got off at Shizuoka Station.

After a brief stroll around Shizuoka, I had lunch at a soba restaurant in "Parche".

There was a self-service oden corner, so I had hanpen and daikon. The dark broth and the accompanying mustard and broth powder felt very Shizuoka-like.

Leaving the quiet Shizuoka Station, possibly due to the rainy weekday, I headed to Yaizu Station.

I took the shuttle bus I had reserved and arrived at the "Yaizu Grand Hotel" in just a few minutes from Yaizu Station.

Since there was some time before check-in, I explored the hotel. The premises were so vast that I couldn't cover everything in a short time.

The hotel interior was engaging, with soccer games and stylish chairs. I spent a graceful time waiting for check-in at the lounge, overlooking the sea.

The room was more spacious than I imagined, offering a breathtaking view of Suruga Bay.

After settling in the room, I headed to the hot spring. I had the entire bath to myself since no one was there.
After the bath, I played table tennis for about an hour and then headed to the dining hall.

It was a buffet-style dinner, with all-you-can-drink alcohol.

You can have sushi made right in front of you. Every piece was delicious.

The beef and chicken steaks were carved in front of you. The steak tasted exceptional with just salt.

There were so many dessert options that I couldn't try them all in one day. For starters, I took one of each cake.

After dinner, I went to the hot spring again, listened to a live piano performance in the lounge, and that concluded the day.
