【Impressions】
I visited on a Monday during the Golden Week holiday.
After having lunch and strolling around Ikebukuro, I headed there.
Upon reaching the 11th floor by elevator, the reception was right in front.
You place your shoes in a shoe locker. You keep the key until you leave.
At the reception, they checked if I was a registered member. Since it had been a while since my last visit, I received a brief explanation of how to use the facilities.
After receiving a set of towels and indoor clothes and a locker key, I headed to the men's bath.
You use the locker with the same number as your key.
After quickly changing, I took only a towel and went to the bathing area.
First, I washed my body in the shower. There were more than ten showers, so even when it was crowded, there was always one available.
The sauna room was spacious, and it seemed like it could accommodate around 20 people if packed.
The top tier of the three-tiered seating was quite hot, and I was drenched in sweat after about 10 minutes.
There's a TV inside, but it doesn't have sound. There's also a 12-minute clock prominently displayed.
After 10 minutes in the sauna, I went straight to the cold bath.
After rinsing off the sweat with a bucket shower, I entered the cold bath.
The cold bath was around 14°C, but there was free ice available, so you could cool it down as much as you liked.
After the cold bath, I went to the outdoor relaxation area.
There were about five chairs and four reclining chairs for outdoor relaxation, making it an ideal environment to relax.
After resting for about 5 minutes, I went back to the sauna. I did four sets that day.
For the last set, I experienced the Aufguss service.
Over about 15 minutes, the staff performed a Löyly and fanning service.
It was intense since it was my final set, but the cold bath and outdoor relaxation afterward were very effective.
After leaving the sauna, I changed in the locker room, returned the towels and indoor clothes at the reception, and went home.
It was the Golden Week holiday period, so there was a holiday fee, but it was less crowded than I expected, so I was satisfied.
I had visited once before, and it remains a top-notch sauna facility.
Having an outdoor relaxation area in Ikebukuro, in such a clean and spacious facility, is valuable.
Sometimes they show movies on the screen in the open-air bath, so you can enjoy your bath time.
You can also drink as much water as you want, and with a restaurant and relaxation area, you can enjoy the whole day.
