The casual scenery even at Frankfurt station becomes picturesque【12】
Day 3 in Germany【2015/3/2】
After having breakfast at the hotel, we headed to "Frankfurt"
Unfortunately, it was raining.
One thing that surprised me while traveling in Europe is that most people don't use umbrellas even when it's raining. They either shield themselves with a parka or simply walk without minding the rain...
Umbrellas were available for sale, and only the well-dressed ladies were using them.
Even the movie posters on the street corners blended well with the scenery.
This poster is for "Into The Woods."
I was curious, so I went to watch it in Japan after returning home. It was a cluttered movie with too many elements crammed into it. (But Anna Kendrick, who played Cinderella, was cute lol)
This object is the emblem of the "EU Central Bank."
While wandering around the city of Frankfurt, we arrived at the "Römer Square."
A group waving the flag of Ukraine was making a fuss, which scared me a bit. It seemed like they were conducting some sort of demonstration related to the discord with Russia.
Frankfurt was quite deserted on this day. About 80% of the shops were closed, and both tourists and locals were scarce. It seems like Sundays are complete off-days in Germany.
A quick snap at Frankfurt station.
This is one of my favorite photos.
In Germany, people don't form lines at the train doors since the door positions are not known.
From Frankfurt, we headed to,
"Nuremberg"
We had dinner at a restaurant attached to the hotel on this day.
Three of us, including me, ordered hamburgers, while friend A ordered pasta. The hamburger patties were juicy and the size was big, which left us very satisfied. However, friend A, who ordered pasta, had a gloomy face. Upon checking the menu, we realized that despite his dislike for vegetables, he had ordered a vegetarian pasta...
Even if it's written in English, make sure to read the menu properly.
