【Impressions】
It's a public bathhouse with a sauna that I've visited several times since moving near Kagurazaka.
It seems to have been renovated in 2018, and the overall interior is clean.
While there are several bathhouses in the area, this one combines the charm of the old days with cleanliness, making it my favorite.
After parking my bicycle at the entrance, I put my shoes in a shoebox, took the key, and then purchased a ticket from the vending machine.
You hand over the purchased ticket and the shoebox key at the reception, and at that time, you tell them your name. It seems they link the key number with your name.
If you're going to the sauna, you'll receive a set of rental towels at the reception.
After passing through the curtain to the men's bath, you put your belongings and change of clothes in the locker in the changing room and take the locker key with you to the bathing area.
While there are plenty of showers, some people leave their belongings and go into the bathtub, so depending on the time, it felt quite occupied.
After washing your body, you enter the dry sauna.
It can accommodate more than 10 people, and I think it's spacious for a public bath sauna.
There's no TV, so the room is quiet, and there's a large 12-minute clock, so you can keep track of time.
After leaving the sauna, you rinse off the sweat with a shower and then enter the cold bath.
The cold bath here is a bit warmer, so you can stay in for a longer time.
It can fit about 3 people if packed.
After leaving the cold bath, you can sit at the edge of the open-air bath and enjoy the outdoor air.
The open-air bath isn't very large, so only two people can sit at the same time.
After enjoying the sauna for 3 sets, I washed my hair and body and then left.
※ A note for those entering the sauna: I couldn't find any drinking water, so it might be a good idea to bring your own beverage.
I didn't take a bath on this day, but on other days, I went into the carbonated spring and jet bath.
The carbonated spring has a lukewarm temperature, which is comfortable for a long bath, so it's always crowded.
The jet bath had strong water pressure, making it perfect for a massage.
Considering its location in Tokyo, I think it's valuable to have a clean public bath where you can enjoy a sauna, cold bath, and outdoor air for 1000 yen.
It's a good place to stop by when sightseeing or walking around Kagurazaka, and if you live nearby, you'll definitely want to visit regularly.
