[Impressions]
A Monday off work due to taking a day off.
After lunch, I headed to Shibuya for some sauna time.
That day, I visited "Shibuya SAUNAS" for the first time.
This is a new sauna facility that opened in December 2022.
It is comprehensively produced by Katsuki Tanaka, the author of "Sauna-do."
A few minutes' walk from Shibuya Station, you'll find a clean, modern building.
Upon entering, you place your shoes in a locker, receive a wristband, and head to the sauna area.
After storing your belongings in a locker, it's time to enter the bathing area.
After washing my body, I started my first round.

The room is dimly lit, allowing for self-infused löyly.
The space is large enough to accommodate more than 10 people comfortably, providing a thorough warming experience.
After about 10 minutes, I stepped out and headed straight to the cold bath in front of me.

The shallow cold bath allows you to lie down while soaking.
After the cold bath, I rested for about 10 minutes in the indoor relaxation area.
For the second round, I went up to the third floor.

Although the space is slightly narrower, self-infused löyly with aromatic water was possible.
After about 10 minutes, I exited to the cold bath on the third floor.

The deep cold bath allows you to stand while submerged up to your shoulders.
The third floor also has plenty of seating spaces, so you can relax wherever you like.
Both the second and third floors have hydration stations in their relaxation areas.
Since it was a cold day, staying outside for too long made my body chilly.
I returned to the second floor for the third round.
BED SAUNA

As the name suggests, this sauna room allows you to lie down like on a bed.
The space only accommodates three people, but it provides a gentle warmth.
After about 5 minutes, I rested briefly before moving on to the fourth round.
SOUND SAUNA

An aufguss session was being held, so I participated.
The combination of atmospheric music and three types of aromatic water used for löyly was perfectly matched.
After about 15 minutes, I stepped out, went through the cold bath, and returned to the relaxation area.
Finally, I finished my fifth round at MATALA.
With a 2-hour-and-30-minute admission, I had plenty of time to complete five rounds and change clothes.
Extensions are available in one-hour increments, so you can add more time if you're not satisfied.
The lounge and dining area make it enjoyable even after your sauna session.
Overall, the facility is very clean, and the sauna rooms, cold baths, and relaxation areas are perfectly arranged for seamless transitions.
As expected of Katsuki Tanaka.
