First Solo Overseas Trip: Day One in Taipei【1】
Day 1 in Taipei【2017/9/23】
I took advantage of the three-day holiday and went on a bullet trip to Taipei.
Round trip: China Airlines (41,010 yen) *Booked one week in advance
Accommodation: Homey Hostel (5,018 yen) *2,509 yen per night
Cash: 25,000 yen *Actually used about 20,000 yen
I booked the flight tickets of China Airlines one week in advance.
It was my first flight in two years, and I was very comfortable and impressed.
・The in-flight meal was delicious (Fruit meal)
・Good service
・The CA (Cabin Attendants) were quite beautiful (both Japanese and Taiwanese)
Upon arrival, I headed straight to Taipei Station. The weather forecast was rainy, but it was sunny and very hot.
The guesthouse I stayed at for two nights is,
"Homey Hostel"
Left my luggage and went sightseeing!
The first place I headed to was,
"Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall"
Why Doraemon??
There was little shade and I was sweating a lot, but I was excited to be overseas after a long time.
The next place I headed to was,
"Shilin Night Market"
It's said to be the largest night market in Taiwan, and I was tired just by going around once.
I was hungry, so I had a Taiwanese-style? oyster omelette in the underground food court. It had something like potato starch mixed in, it fills you up but it wasn't very tasty.
I don't mind this cluttered atmosphere.
I went home a bit disappointed, and bought apples at a nearby supermarket. They were small and not sweet, it was subtle.
By the way, there are a lot of Japanese sweets in Taiwan.
