Off to Neuschwanstein Castle! Actually, I had caught a cold【14】
Day 5 in Germany【2015/3/4】
"Neuschwanstein Castle"
This was our destination for the day.
It was a sunny day at Munich station after a long time. We joined a tour by hopping on a bus that came to the station.
About 20 people participated, and more than half were Japanese. The bus guide was a German lady, and the guide was all in English.
We stopped at a small village before reaching the castle. It was a tourist village? where local specialty products were sold.
It was cold enough for the lake to freeze.
The bus arrived at the foot of the castle.
We were instructed by the guide to return by a certain time, and then our free time began. To get to the castle, you could either walk or take a horse carriage up a fairly long hill.
We chose to walk.
Upon reaching the top, a magnificent view spread out before us.
The castle looked powerful up close.
This castle, which is also a model for Cinderella's castle, is a popular tourist destination in Germany. It always ranks first in popular castle rankings.
Unfortunately, photography was prohibited inside.
We returned from the castle, checked out of the hotel, and stayed on a sleeper train this night.
We had some time before departure, so we killed time at Starbucks. The security was bad, and I was quite nervous.
