Milan, pasta, Dolce & Gabbana, here comes Italy【15】
Day 6 in Italy【2015/3/5】
When I woke up, I had crossed the border.
Each vehicle has a private room like this, and you can lock it from the inside.
I stayed in a room for two, but was alone till the end. The other three were in a room for six, seemingly with three robust Africans.
Friend A lamented that he couldn't sleep because their feet smelled. Lol
Now, upon the train's arrival,
"Milan in Italy"
Welcome to Italy!
The atmosphere, architecture, cars, and above all, the people were different from Germany.
Dropped off the luggage at the hotel and headed for sightseeing.
"Duomo"
Arrived at the destination by walking from the area around Milan station.
"Stadio San Siro"
Home stadium of Milan and Inter, had booked a sightseeing tour.
At that time, Honda was with Milan and Nagatomo was with Inter, so there were many tourists from Japan.
It was exciting to see the locker room actually used by the players.
The tour was with us four and one guide. The young lady guide was cute and explained in quirky Japanese.
Before the tour ended during the question time, I asked, "Are you a fan of Milan or Inter?"
The lady seemed a bit awkward and answered, "My heart is filled with black and white."
Unexpectedly, she was a "Juventus" fan. Lol
There's also a uniform of Keisuke Honda in the attached museum.
Received a can of stadium turf at the end of the tour.
Used the tram on the way back, but it was hard to figure out which tram to take to the destination, how much it cost, and where the stops were.
Managed to get back by asking passersby, "Milan station. Milan station."
Since entering Italy, I felt that English was not well understood. I didn't feel this much in Germany, so I realized that language proficiency varies by country in Europe.
Another thing I noticed in Italy. There are no Starbucks in Italy. It seems to be to protect local individually owned shops in a country with a strong cafe culture. I was surprised as I couldn't find a single Starbucks even when searched in Italy.
Dinner at a restaurant near Milan station. Since we are in Italy, it's "pasta"! (Probably Vongole)
The flavor of garlic and seafood matched well and it was delicious. The portion was also large.
Dolce & Gabbana advertisement near Milan station. It's picturesque.
