Day 2 filled with Mizusawa Udon and a lavish inn meal 2021/11/22【78】
Day 2 in Ikaho
The second day started with a lavish breakfast, leaving us full.

After eating, we prepared in our room and waited for a taxi in the lobby with a giant Daruma doll.

We headed to Mizusawa Udon Street by taxi.
Since we had time until lunch, we visited "Mizusawa Temple (Mizusawa Kannon)."

We leisurely explored the beautiful temple grounds where some autumn leaves remained.

This is a Jizo statue, believed to grant wishes if you circle it three times to the left.

After leaving the temple, we walked to an udon restaurant called "Osawaya."
Perhaps because it was lunchtime, the spacious restaurant was always bustling with customers.

We ordered udon and matsutake tempura. The specialty matsutake was delicious, but two pieces felt a bit too much (maybe because we had a hearty breakfast).
After the meal, we took a coffee break at a cafe called "Nohana."

The coffee was as delightful as the stylish cup it was served in.
After our cafe break, we called a taxi and headed to "Housuiji Temple."

After climbing a considerable number of stairs, a large building comes into view.

The view from the top would be fantastic on a clear day. Unfortunately, it was a cloudy day with light rain.

After touring the temple, we descended the stairs, returned, and took a bus back to the inn.
We had some time before dinner, so we took a bath and enjoyed karaoke. There's an additional charge for karaoke.

Dinner was lavish again this day. The menu was different from the first day, so we enjoyed it thoroughly.

After dinner, we took another bath and then went to bed for the night.
