We had planned a three-day food and drink tour in San Sebastián, but on the first day, I overdrank and was down for the count.【85】
February 10-12, 2023 in Spain
After being posted to London, my first overseas trip was to San Sebastian in Spain.
Day 1
I headed to Gatwick Airport by train from central London.

I landed at Bilbao Airport via a low-cost carrier and took a bus from the airport to San Sebastian.

Upon arriving in San Sebastian, I was greeted by a clear blue sky and a beautiful cityscape.

After dropping off my luggage at the hotel, I went for a stroll around the area.
I saw the sea after a long time.

It was so warm that the coat I wore in London felt out of place.

Walking along the coast, I headed towards an area known as the Old Town.

I don't have photos from here, but from around 3 pm until the day changed, I went bar hopping and visited about 8 places.
Day 2
I overdrank on the first day and was so tired that I woke up around noon the next day.

The weather was still perfect, and I had breakfast and lunch at a cafe.

That day, I climbed a small mountain and visited a castle.

The view from the top was stunning, overlooking the cityscape of San Sebastian, the sea, and the mountains.
I was more tired than I expected, so after descending, I rehydrated and had a light meal, then visited the shop where Basque cheese originated.

After a rest back at the hotel, I went out again to enjoy the night in San Sebastian.

That day, I had dinner at a restaurant known for its delicious paella, then went bar hopping in various clubs and pubs. However, I still felt the effects of the alcohol from the first day and couldn't fully enjoy it.

By around 11 pm, I returned to the hotel and went to bed.
Day 3
I woke up just before noon on the last day.
First, I booked a return bus to the airport.
Then I went to a cafe to have coffee and had a light meal at another cafe.
I explored a coastline I hadn't visited yet, spent some time there, then returned to the bus stop and headed back to London.
