Receiving the Rite of Durian at Don Mueang Airport, Vowing to Revisit【9】
Day 6 in Bangkok【2018/1/5】
Checked out of the guesthouse just before 7 am and headed to the airport by taxi.
I had asked the lady at the guesthouse (who I got friendly with on the first day) to arrange a taxi the day before. When I told her the time of my flight, she advised me on when to check out.
It was helpful to have her arrange the taxi in Thai since many taxi drivers don't speak English.
As there was some time before flight check-in, I bought a tuna sandwich and took a nap.
Perhaps because it was early morning, there were few eateries at Don Mueang Airport.
After completing check-in and immigration, I felt an indescribable sense of exhaustion. This feeling always hits as the journey nears its end.
The last thing I bought in Thailand was,
"Durian Cookies"
The shop attendant said, "This is delicious," in broken English, which convinced me to buy it.
Indeed, it was delicious. I ate it all before the flight. However, it was quite smelly.
The smell lingered in my mouth for several hours. Thanks to that, the 6-hour flight was hellish, haha.
Returned home on my first Scoot flight, marking the end of the trip.
The Scoot flight was neither good nor bad.
Onboard, there was a group of young Thais, probably in their early 20s, seemingly excited about visiting Japan.
(Ah, going on an overseas trip now must be nice~ mine is over, sigh) (Are they rich to travel from such a low-cost country like Thailand to Japan?) (Maybe they earned the money in the nightlife industry) (Ah, our eyes met, smile)
With such thoughts, before I knew it, we had arrived in Japan.
