It became a tumultuous tour where passengers were left behind, Stonehenge and Bath. May 2023【91】

I joined a local tour from London to Stonehenge and Bath.

On the morning of the tour, I was panicked when I couldn't find the bus stand at Victoria Station.

I found a bus that seemed to be the right one, but my name wasn't on the passenger list, which further stressed me out.

It seems that because I booked online the previous day, my name wasn’t reflected on the list. Nevertheless, I was able to board the bus and head to the tour.

In about 2 hours, we first arrived at Stonehenge.

After alighting from the bus, there are facilities such as ticket counters, shops, and toilets.

After having a light breakfast, I boarded the shuttle bus heading to Stonehenge.

As I started walking after getting off the shuttle, I could see the stones.

It is believed to have been built around 3000-2500 BC, but the purpose and the builders remain a mystery.

The weather was good on this day, highlighting the contrast of blue and green.

There are a large number of sheep around.

After about an hour of sightseeing, I returned to the parking lot via shuttle and boarded the bus.

When it was time for the bus to depart, a few people hadn’t returned, and eventually, two were left behind.

The guide explained apologetically that they couldn’t inconvenience the other participants.

After traveling for about an hour, we arrived in Bath.

I explored the city during the 3-hour free time.

After finishing the sightseeing and getting back on the bus, we started heading back to London. However, someone fell ill, and the bus had to stop.

In the end, including that person, a group was left behind, and the bus began to move.

From the start, six people were missing, and the guide lamented that no more surprises were needed.

After returning to London, I was dropped off at Gloucester Road, had pho at a nearby Vietnamese restaurant, and went home.
