Sightseeing, haircut, and dining in Tallinn at minus 14 degrees, January 2024【108】
2024/1/3 Riga → Tallinn
Woke up at 5:30 AM.
Had bread and protein purchased the previous day for breakfast.

Checked out and headed to the bus station.

Walked to the station in the early morning at minus 14 degrees.
The early morning market.

So far, the journey had been smooth, but then a little mishap occurred.
Even after 30 minutes past the departure time, the bus didn't arrive, and we waited in the freezing minus 14 degrees.

Other passengers also waited worriedly, but a notification of a 1-hour delay appeared on the app, so we retreated to the bus waiting room.

After more than an hour's delay, the bus finally departed.
As we traveled north from Riga, the landscape gradually turned into a snowy scene.

Arrived in Tallinn after about 5 hours.
Stepping off the bus, there was snow everywhere.

Riga was cold, but there was no snow, so arriving in Tallinn felt fresh even though it's in the same Baltic States.
Took the tram from the bus station to the Old Town.
Checked into the hotel, warmed up a bit, then went out to explore the Old Town.

After touring the Old Town, I went back to the hotel.
While warming up, I searched for a nearby barber.
I found one close to the Old Town and got a haircut after waiting for a few minutes.

I was surprised that they only accepted cash or bank transfer.
After the haircut, I went to a place called Three Dragons near the Old Town square for dinner, where I had sausage, meat pie, and hot wine.

Pickles were self-service.

After dinner, I bought some mysterious snacks at the supermarket and ate them at the hotel.
